Press Release Summary: Energy Saving Tasks in China Spark Investment Opportunities! 2008 International Exhibition on Energy Conservation, Environmental Power and Desulphurization & Denitrification (ECEP) Hails a Business Platform in China for International Energy Conservation Market
Energy consumption in China is surging alongside the economic boom in recent years; pollutant emission from thermal power generation has been recorded high. PRC government is yet setting stringent limits on emission and power consumption under the \"11th Five-Year Plan\". In line with the national goal and market trend, \"2008 International Exhibition on Energy Conservation, Environmental Power and Desulphurization & Denitrification\" (ECEP) will be concurrently held with EP / Electrical China 2008, from 12-14 November 2008 at China International Exhibition Centre, Beijing, PR China.
Press Release Body: \"2008 International Exhibition on Energy Conservation, Environmental Power and Desulphurization & Denitrification\" (ECEP) organized by China Electricity Council (CEC) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, provides an excellent and effective international platform for overseas suppliers to meet domestic buyers and end-users in China. Leading power corporations in China, like Huaneng, Datang, Huadian, Guodian, etc. are planning to showcase their achievements and future development on energy conservation and emission control. It is expected that 400 exhibitors, more than 20,000 visitors from all over China and overseas will attend the fair, of which 6000 visitors are from power corporations, power plants and power grid corporations, power supply bureaus and design institutes.
The concurrent event, EP China, founded in 1986, was organized by China Electricity Council and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., held rotationally in Beijing and Shanghai in alternate years. It is the only power exhibition endorsed as UFI Approved Event in China, gaining full support from the major power group corporations and power grid corporations in China. EP China has become the largest and the most reputable electric power and electrical trade fair in China.
The national \"11th Five-Year Plan\", is a grand blueprint for national economic and social development in the next five years in mainland China. It has set the target to reduce national pollutant emission rate by 10 per cent and energy consumed for each unit of GDP by 20 per cent. The national emission of sulphur dioxide is aiming to drop from 25.49 million tones in 2005 to 22.95 million tones by 2010.
The surging demand in equipment and technology for Fuel Gas Desulphurization (FGD) and denitrification is the emerging trend in energy market development. According to the "Comprehensive Work Scheme on Energy Saving and Emission Elimination" published by PRC State Council, it highlighted the need to develop a monitoring mechanism on energy conservation and emission control; having a vision to explore extensive cooperation across nations and overseas organizations; pro-actively explore the opportunities in environmental power business, technology advancement and management experience exchange on an international platform.
The previous EP / Electrical China 2007 had successfully attracted over 300 exhibitors from 21 countries / regions, covering a floor space of over 14,000sqm. Leading exhibitors included ABB, GE Energy, 3M, Siemens, Areva T&D, Japan AE Power, Hitachi, Daqo Group, Hyosung, Hager, EDF, ENEL, Toshiba, Ormazabal, Schniewindt, Huadian Switchgear etc. What's more was the participation of official pavilions from German, US, UK and Korea organized by the representative of trade associations and government units.
